Warsaw, 20 November 2019 – Gelato Festival Challenge continues its journey around the world making a stop in Warsaw, Poland on November 20^th at Retail Show 2019 where 20 Polish gelato artisans took part in the sweetest competition of the year hosted by Primulator, Carpigiani distributor for Poland. The winning flavors are “Roasted sunflower seed with caramel” by Karolina Tronowska & Damian Gutowski of Piekarnia Cukiernia Grzybki in Warsaw (gelato with homemade caramel and pan roasted sunflower seeds with layer of crunchy seeds), “Caramel Crunch” by Kinga Godyń of Góralskie Praliny in Kraków (Fiordilatte with velvet mascarpone cheese and crunch cookies and homemade caramel) and “Forest Crème Brule” by Gino Maes & Slava Khimich of Manufaktura Lodow Prawdziwych in Kaczory (Crème Brule with mushrooms porcini).

The selected gelato artisans go on to the Polish Finals of Gelato Festival scheduled for 2021, during which the Polish gelato maker who will take part in the World Finale will be selected. Flavor, structure, creativity and presentation are the four parameters used for the evaluation, highlighting the choice of ingredients, the craftsmanship in elaborating the recipe and the visual impact of the gelato (see below the full list of participants).
