On May 15 and 16 we had the second and third round of the Gelato Festival Challenge
On May, 15th and 16th we had the second and third qualifying round of the Gelato Festival Challenge 2019. The event had the presence of 25 gelato shops from all over the country, who struggled to show the flavors created and produced to a carefully selected jury.
From all the competitor, six were the selected: “Gelato di Carrara”, “Kalimera”, “Carimbó”, “Crema Modenese”, “Pepe e Noci al Formaggio” and “Sensazione al Cioccolato”, which were produced respectively by the following gelato shops: Icy Gelato – Americana (SP), Forasteiro – Salvador (BA), Sorveteria Cairu – Belém (PA), Cremeria Italiana – Brasília (DF), Congelatte Gelateria – Ituiutaba (MG) and Di Famiglia, Gelato Artigianale – Jaú (SP). Those great maestro gelatieri will compete with the other selected on FISPAL fair (June, 11th to 14th) for two places on the National Final on 2021.
The event was made possible by the Premium Sponsor – Duas Rodas, Specialitá. Duas Rodas believes in the potential of growth and in the importance of the development of the ice cream and artisanal gelato market in Brazil.
Another fundamental partnership was the Institutional support of the Italian Consulate and from the Circolo Emilia Romagna. They saw the importance of the dissemination of Italian culture, and this in line with culture of the true gelato Italian artisanal trough the Gelato Festival Challenge 2019.
