The italian team for the Gelato World Cup 2020 has been sorted during Sigep Gelato d'Oro, after three days of pastry, gelato, ice sculpting and haute cuisine competitions.
Marco Martinelli, chef from Brescia, is the winner of Sigep Gelato d'Oro 2019 for the haute cuisine category and is going to represent Italy once again during the Gelato World Cup 2020, with Massimo Carnio, chocolate maker from Valdobbiadene (TV) winner for the pastry category, gelato category winner Eugenio Morrone from Rome's Il Cannolo Siciliano, and ice sculptor Ciro Chiummo.
Second place in the chef category goes to Marco Visciola from Il Marin di Genova, third to Paolo Barrale from Sorbo Serpico's Marennà.
